Our own Bob Voskian and GeorgeM are tops at Porsche Parade.
Bob won in the presentation class for the group including 928s and ... someone help me. National-level result!
[Edit: keep reading below, and you'll see there was even bigger 928 news from Parade.]
The "special parking" offered to non-competing water cooled was right there among the concours-quality cars. Bertrand had his excellent example, and then there was my sorry example.

Not surprised in the least, both Bob and Bertrand have top-notch 928's. And there are only "work in progress"...no sorry examples. Glad you guys showed up to represent our beloved 928's.

Thank you all for the kind comments. All the 928s on the fairway were great. Many people came around and commented on all our cars. Everyone's cars were well prepped looking great. Next time we need to get Bertrand to get his beauty entered also. Great meeting everyone.
Jim and Sue, all the way from Washington chatting with Betrand.
George and Bertrand with George's beautiful 91 GT that took first place in the preservation class.

Congrats Bob and George! I've seen George's beautiful GT in person and I hope to see yours someday, too, Bob. Thanks for representing the 928 in such a fine manner!

Well deserved, Bob!
So we had 2 winning 928s, in Preparation Touring and Preservation groups. That's 2 of 4 classes won by Sharks. Kudos for the great showing of 928s. Many admirers out there today.
FYI, PCA has adjusted classes so that 924/944/968/928 are in the same class, so plenty of competition from our 4cyl brethren.
In recognition of the 40th anniversary of the 924 intro ("the Transaxle Cars"), Prescott Kelly and Dieter Landenberger, Porsche Archive Mgr, conducted a very informative talk about each model, right on the show field as we walked from model to model. Some comments from both of them on the rising values and collectibility of the 928. Both guys appear to be fans. Pretty cool.
