Default Porsche CD-1 head unit

hello, i need some help in locating a Porsche CD-1 stereo head unit operators manual. my understanding in addition to some 944's and 911's in the 1980's it was also installed in 928's from 1983-91. my 1989 951 has this radio but i am missing the operators manual, thank you.

My understanding of the CD-1 (Alpine single-disc in-dash CD player/radio) is that it was only used in some U.S. 1988 928s, and was the earliest of the CD players available in a 928. 928s used a lot of radios over the years, the CD-1 would be one of the rarest.

Does it have to be the CD-1 manual? I think I have a pdf scan of the CD-2 manual. Or are you looking for the paper manual for completeness' sake?

Try 928 International - they have some manuals available...at least for some early cars..

thank you Rob and VanD My main interest is to figure out how to set the clock on the head unit, it is out of sync with the clock on the dash (easy to set). if a CD-1 manual or copy is available i would like to have one, it appears it is very difficult to locate, but I'd be happy just to be able to set the clock.

Dug out my CD-2 manual, and looked through it- there is no mention at all of there being a clock, or how to adjust it. Maybe it was deleted between the CD-1 and CD-2 (?). Sorry I can't be of help.

I think I've got a copy (I mean an actual copied copy) of a CD-1 manual. If that will work for you, just PM me your fax number and I will send it, or I could scan it and send via email. Just let me know.

The original radio in my 1995 GTS is a CD-1 and I have the owner's manual.
Do you still need a scan?

Anyone know who reconditions them?

Is a CDR-220 a straight plug in replacement?
