I sold my younger son's first car ('68 Nova) yesterday to an out-of-town buyer. He sent a roll-back from Newnan, a small town about 55 miles away from my small town in Georgia, to pick it up. The driver looked at the white GT, and asked, "Is that a Porsche 928?"

He said that his best friend had been much into 928's, and had run a shop in Sharpsburg, another small town about 20 miles from Newnan.

We spent several minutes reminiscing about Greg Nettles...

I had been working on this guy's dogs for years. One day I'm going casual at the clinic, I've got the 928 Texas polo on, and the guy asks me where I got the shirt...

I start explaining the history of the 928. He shakes his head and says I know what the car is Dave, I have three...

Turns out to be Mike Byrd, the byrdman. Lol.

Oh wow, that's pretty cool Wally. How long has Greg been gone? I miss a lot of the folks that were around and involved in the late 90's, through the mid 2000's. Especially the ones that are no longer with us.

Real small world, I passed my ex-boss trailering his '68 Nova drag car while I was in my 928 today.
ps, I didn't even flip him off, I'm sure it pissed him off enough just the fact that I ignored him.
