$1200 rebuilt, $700 non rebuilt.
Buy heads and cams together and I'll include the cam housings with lifters.

What would be the expected HP gain to bolt these 84-85 euro cams/housing with the rebuilt heads onto an '84 US 4.7L bottom end with a broken cam gear? Would the L-EFI be able to handle the change? Thanks

Thanks Dan (DLCustom) for buying the early set.
He has an '80 EuroS w/a broken right cam. These were out of an '80, so perfect... and Dan is from Michigan, so even better!
Hoi, I've never done a 'hybrid' like you've described.
My best guess is somewhere btw spec 4.7L US and 4.7L RoW (Euro).
With your prospect, for optimal, you would then need to free up the intake and exhaust... both of which are more tertiary (may be modified as desired, when needed).
For intake... consider larger air meter 'barn door' (2.5L 944 maybe?),
Euro LH intake plenum/spider (should work w/L-jet injectors)
L-jet should be fine. Consider larger 2ohm(?) injectors (ref 2.5L 944 or 951 turbo maybe).
And consider 85-86 US tubular headers and free-flow exhaust.
Long story long, there should be enough 'Porsche parts bin' components available to max out the EuroS heads and cams, within an L-Jet system.
Maybe peeps with hands-on knowledge will chime in... alongwith those who can fill in my blanks too.
Let me know, thanks.

Hybrid is a 5 liter bottom end with euro 16v topped.
adding the cams and heads will net some power, but without the matching intake and throttle body, you wont get full euro power

I believe Hoi asked a less-specific (or less than traditional question).
Naturally, a less traditional answer was needed.
However, the most proven 'parts bin' 928 has been the 5.0L Euro hybrid.
Jake, is a 928 engine still considered a hybrid w/a 5.0L, Euro top, and L-Jet?

only time i have heard of a "hybrid" was in reference to the 5L/euro combo. If I'm not mistake a 4.7 us engine bottom end is the same as the euro 4.7, just minus the goodies.
great prices on the pieces. they are only getting harder to find!
