S4 Main Bearings in an early 32V engine

Default S4 Main Bearings in an early 32V engine

So the 83-86 PET indicates 928-...-02 as the main bearing set for all models, which naturally is NLA unless you go undersize. But, the 85-89 Tech Spec book shows the crank dimensions as the same for all 32V engines. Wouldn't that mean that I should use the 928-...-08 main bearing set? Hoping the answer is yes, because that is still available.

Yes.

All 5.0 engines use the later bearing set.
