Stripped Lower Girdle Hole
It's the one that secures the ground strap from the body. I think a ham fisted mechanic overdid it when they added a second ground strap.
Of course, I didn't find out until the engine was in.
Any advice on the best course of action? It looks like I have make the mounting hole on the lower girdle bigger to get a time sert or whatever is the latest recommended insert. Maybe not?
And a follow-up question can oil seep out from between the block halves if the bolt can't be properly torqued?

Who put all that goo on the oil pan gasket? And yes, the ground strap always goes through that girdle bolt.

I may have gone overboard on the HondaBond.
And to the right you will see oil coming from between the upper and lower blocks. So, either I had a sealant failure or something else not right. Needless to say the engine is coming out to see what went wrong. I promise to go easy on the HondaBond next time.

I was under a car and thinking that ground can go on somewhere else., like the lower bellhousing. I don't think that bolt is important, structurally. You might try a slightly longer bolt as there may be threads deeper in. Torque lightly in that case.
But if you're taking it out you can check all that. If you take it apart, get the loctite 574 and apply a very thin coating. I'm not sure I'd re-rebuild it for that weeping...at least not right away until I could see the real magnitude of the problem.

I followed the WSM and used loctite 574.

I would get a stud and and JB weld it into the block,
let it cure then bolt the wire to it ,
put a star washer under the ground strap
