So I am looking at a car who's original window sticker said it was delivered to a Porsche dealer in the states, but it has a metric instrument cluster and the hvac is in Fahrenheit. This can't be "as delivered" correct? The only thing I can think of is that one of the owners had the cluster replaced and put in a metric one. There is no history on it so I can't verify if it ever made its way to Canada at one point, but if it had are imported cars required to have their speedos changed to metric?

The good thing about Canadian cars, are they are never driven in the Winter months.

As long as the speedo dial shows metric (doesn't have to be the primary scale) it will pass the federalization inspection in Canada.

Hmmm..well then that wouldn't be a reason to change the cluster since the US ones already display a metric scale.

what does the country code on the options sticker in the back hatch (under the carpet) say. If it was for the Canadian market it should say C36. If it was US it should be C01 or 02 (California) I think.

Says who? Okay, okay, so it's not exactly a 928...
