Malcolm, doesn't the Cayenne exceed the weight limits on a MaxJax?

And POR917, great looking install and garage. Looks like a great set-up.

I will be getting a similar 4 post lift next week, and the wait is killing me. I've been spending the last two months changing my door opener, painting, rearranging things, adding new shelves and all of that fun stuff. Epoxy goes down on the floor this week and hopefully the lift will follow soon after.

Congrats on the purchase! I'm getting the feeling that once you have a lift there's absolutely no going back.

Chamberlain 8500 openers are very quiet.
I have already looked into that and the 8500 was the one I was going to go with. I have to convert my garage door to a torsion set up before I'm able to do that setup. It's never easy LOL.

Rating on the Max-Jax is 6000, so the Cayenne is no problem. But that's not what this thread is about...

What kind of springs does the door use now? From what I can see it looks like a sectional door, or is it a single-panel?

I sent the track drawings to the garage door supplier for Oregon house (local Overhead Door franchise) and was able to get them to put the tracks pretty close to where I wanted them. When we actually moved in, I brought them back to fix a few things, including pushing the tracks up pretty tight to the ceiling. Like the guys at Anaheim Door, who supplied the doors at the California home, this install crew was not sold on the idea of the high tracks until they saw it actually work.

At the Cali house, the sales guys and their store "engineer" came out and looked at my final installation, scratched their heads and said it wouldn't work... even as they watched it work perfectly.

Bottom line -- work with the guys who actually do the work to get what you need.
