Default will these rims fit on my 1988 928 s4

Hello,
I am new to the forum, and have just purchased my dream car an 1988 928 S4 Euro spec.
I would like to upgrade the rims to one of the following

996/Boxster Twist rims 7 x 17 ET 55, front, 8 x 17 ET 50 Back or
Boxster S Twist rims 7 x 17 ET 55 front, 8.5 x 17 ET 50 Back or
Carrera III 5 spoke rims 8 x 18 ET 57 front, 10 x 18 ET 58 Back.

Could someone please tell me if the rims will fit on my car? Will I need spacers?
Tire size suggestions would be great as well.
Thank you

So the Carrera IIIs will fit without spacers. Tire size suggestions. Right now they have 235x40x18 front, 265x40x 18 in back.

To the OP out of your choices the Carrera III is best.

Offsets are 55 front, 50 back. Not sure what they mean by stick out way to far. Design maybe. Are there any good 17 inch rims designs that will work on the 928 S4? What is OP?

They won't stick out too far. The closer you can get to the stock offsets the better you are especially on the front. 55 is bare minimum imo 57 is a bit better, plus the 8" width allows more meat on the front.

The tires that are on there will work fine on a 928, the rears are a bit tall but still acceptable.
