So with Greg's headers you have to remove them to drop the flywheel inspection cover? I guess with running all that power it would be good to have a Constantine clamp so you can "set it and forget it".

Beautiful car looks like you could eat off the underside of it! Like Victor did lol.

Just to pile on- I first saw this car at Greg's in February 2010. Usually a car is there for a couple of days, but there are cars that stick around. Next time I was there the west end of the shop had been converted into a powerwashing station.

Next time I stopped by, the engine was out. Then apart. Then going back together. Then the trans came apart, and back together. Then the suspension. And the brakes- Hebert didn't have Greg rebuild the brakes, he had him _replace_ the brakes. Then the GB headers and catback went on.

Long story short, this car was in Greg's crosshairs for more than half of 2010, and 'completed' (they're never completed....) the night before Sharktoberfest in October. Everyone has an their own definition of 'no expense spared', this car could be a good go-to for that definition....

Then Alan has it Victored and re-painted, and sharktuned with expert help.

Try and find another nicer, more unique 928 that's actually for sale, for $65K. Try.

Oh for the love of god stop....this car is so nice it hurts...unfortunately I'm not currently capable and need to get rid of a few myself. No doubt worth every nickle. This car has it all.

Fyi, I don't have a Constentine clamp on my white auto, so I adjust it every oil change. I don't remove the cover, I just take a long extension with a allen socket through the inspection hole. Easy and quick.

This car is as close to a "Singer 928" as anyone has gotten, so far!

Rolling 928 perfection.

And let me assure everyone....an incredible value at 65K.

And, of course it has a Constantine Clamp....why would anyone even question that?

BTW....these headers were Consumer Version 1.0. I went back, made some improvements, and made room to get the bell housing cover off (for the 5 speed guys) in Consumer Version 2.0.

Horns? Did someone say horns?

One of the most funnest things I've had the opportunity to do was riding with Dan (S4ordie) from Arizona to Third Coast in November 2010 with his "red car". And yes, the "Naked Cowboy" (another story, that) fitted his gorgeous car with genuine Texas longhorns for the trip. (Attached to a spare hood, paint-to-match, no original parts were injured in this trip).

Fooling around aside, this is one of the very nicest 928s that I have had the pleasure of riding in or driving. Every detail was attended to, everything worked perfectly. It is one of a very small number of very special cars.

Here's the current state under the hood (from Alan's other thread).

Now tell me that's not a well sorted out engine compartment...

That does look great. Alan is a perfectionist, continuously looking for ways to improve the details...

What size wheels are on El Guapo? From this pic it looks like 17" up front and 18" at the rear. Details on the 18" Cup II if that's what is on the rear? I didn't know Cup IIs were available in 18".

Yes, IIRC Hankook V12s on 9x17 ET70 in front, 10x18 ET47 in the rear. Factory in front, Mille Miglia copies in back. The Milles are very heavy and very soft, but are beautiful when fresh.
