Default Block Damage at Oil Cooler Fitting

While removing one of the oil cooler lines, like an idiot I neglected to counter hold the fitting and started to back it out. No worries, I had already ordered new crush washers anyway just in case. So this morning I back the fitting the rest of the way out and a chunk of the sealing face dropped right out. I did notice some green sealant type stuff on the fitting side of the crush washer - is that from the factory or part of a previous repair?

Feeling a bit like Roseanne Roseannadanna at this point. What's my play to deal with this?

Been discussed a lot. I used a aluminum putty to create a better surface. Worked great!

Found this post from Greg once I added Loctite to the search terms. This procedure seems fairly straightforward.

John Kuhn has the tooling and a process to fix these:

You may want to call or email him.

Works perfectly, regardless of how big the chipped out piece is. I've never had one even seep.
