Bear mountain, ny spring fun
Sharing an event that I've created via facebook, it's public so even if you do not have Facebook you'll still be able to view it, but here are the basics:
Start point: park and ride near exit 5 on the palisades parkway, accessible from both north and southbound lanes.
They do have coffee, snacks, and gas. I suggest getting gas earlier than there due to increased prices.
The two stop points are
1st: Perkins memorial tower and
2nd: marina at Cornwall on the Hudson
The ending point is a winery in Warwick. The winery serves beer, wine, soda, water and a good selection of food. There is no parking cost at the location.
Meet time is 8am, it's usually done by 2pm, I shoot to be at the winery by 1130/12. You do not need to do the entire day, you can simply meet at one of the stops or the winery or start and depart before the end.
Any questions feel free to ask or text/call me at 908 3o4 376nine

FWIW, the last time I did that drive, I was passenger in a three-year-old Corvair Monza convertible. In the winter though. It was still a great adventure.
Have a great drive!

Hey, during the summer and fall, Bear mountain has car and bike gatherings every Wednesday with food, music, vendors, etc. I am about to get the shark registered and it would be a blast to see a squad of 928's represented up there. I have gone for years and can't remember seeing one. Now that I've said it, let's see it happen!

I've heard about them for years, I live about 2 hours from the mountain so I've never gone up for those shows. I have heard they've been going on for 20+ years, one day I'll get up there for one.
My drive here isn't only for porsche, as long as your respectful you're more than welcome to bring a car to have fun in

Not mentioned in this thread: the date is May 1.
I used to live near Warwick, in Pine Island. Steer clear of it if it's dry and windy - this is the Black Dirt region for growing onions. But I f you're Polish, you'll want to investigate.

I'm bumping now with about a week to go and I'll bump it Friday and Saturday night, Saturday night will also have my phone number so if anyone is running late on sunday (there's always 1) they can just call. Or if they get separated and don't have a 2 way radio.
