Brian, my '78 and weissach are both without central locking and AC button. I think the AC is automatic with certain hvac temp and mode.
Alex, bring down the euro and have Stan work on it, so that you can drive it back to Hershey. Would love to have a pic of it and my car side by side with their caregiver in between them!

Funny your wife doesn't like the Tabac color - I HATED ALL the brown cars, then got a Mocha and my wife loved it - since then they have really grown on me and I love the variety of browns available....the Tabac is really cool - it really is the color of Tobacco!

Very proud of myself - the antenna was Jammed but could hear the motor run, took it apart and used a mast from an old one I had that had a bad motor. Both units were filthy and filled with dirt, Took the best pieces from each and deoxit, mineral spirits, and white lithium grease and 4 hours later, have a perfectly working unit with correct mast...

Took a look at CE panel - found some funky wiring - anybody have any ideas what's going on? (I may start a separate thread about this one) I can't seem to find a 1980 Euro "S" wiring diagram online...I have a strange wire that's split from Red wire with yellow stripe, joined to a brown wire that's threaded through the firewall and hooked up again to a red/yellow wire there. Obviously not a stock wire. Also a blue wire to no where - just taped off. Third oddity is an electrical fitting that goes somewhere - I have no idea where - although my blower fan isn't working do may be to that?
Red/yellow wire splits here - goes up to firewall, and to 14 pin.
Through firewall
Wire splits here - then up to 14 pin
Then joins back to same? wire at 14 pin....
Not sure of this blue wire either, has a greenish yellow stripe that's hard to see
Any idea what these hook to? the lead is pretty long - could make it over to center console/AC head...

strange, but it all looks factory, even the connector (although not the black tape on the blue green stripe wire to nowhere). Could be a harness for US side markers not being used?
Actually probably not, since 4 wires makes me believe switch of some sort.

Alex, I guess you can't park your cars on the grass neither? So, I am guessing you are planning to sell your S4 and '81? Probably keeping the Weissach, right? Why not make it a lucky #13th 928?

Must be the weather or something, my back has been giving me fits all week. Been cold and snowing here on and off for over a week now. Yuck. After putting in eight hours at work, the best I can do is check in on the cars in the garage ever morning.
Hope you get feeling better soon, Alex.

You going to Hershey? I'm taking the truck with my buddy so I can lie down on the way and hand my Minerva interior to Budd for a re-do..
Hope you feel better also, long work days, age and cold are a bad mix..
