Default What cars need the tyres 205/50ZR15 & 225/50ZR15 Pirelli P7?

Hi

I am currently involved with Pirelli and discussing the production of 2 new tyres 205/50ZR15 & 225/50ZR15 Pirelli P7

I was hoping someone out there may be able to help me build my fitment guide by letting me know what cars they fit.

I think it is early 930 and options on 924, 944 and 928, but if anyone had dates and specific models that would be a great help

When i get them they will be on the https://www.cinturato.net/ web site, along with the 185/70VR115 CN36 that we cutrrently have and the 215/60VR15 CN36 that willl be with us soon.

I seem to remember that some of the very early 928's had 7inch x 15 inch phone dial wheels that took a 215x60x15 section.

I also have it in my head that they were only fitted to automatic models but why I have no idea as it sounds kind of strange.

I would not run with such a skinny section but some Concours freaks may well be interested.

Rgds

Hello Dougal,

I've been following your thread on Ferrari Chat:

http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/lam...yone-care.html

16" P7's would be great for the early 928's, few of our cars run with 15" since the 16" wheel was an option from day one.

The only P7 factory spec was 225/50 R16

The 15's were Dunlop SP & Pirelli P6

Not adding anything useful, but I loved my 195/60-15's on my 914. They were GREAT wet tires (of which we had a lot in Vancouver...

They would also fit the 1990's XJS Jags. I just replaced mine, and it was VERY difficult to find decent 15" tires that were V rated.

Assuming they are priced reasonably, I'd love a set of new vintage P7's for my 78.

225/50/15s were what I used on my track 944 back in the days. Yokohama was the only one who made them at the time (ES100). I loved the way the car road and the slight drop in height due to the lower profile.

Please push for these tires as I will be getting a 944 together to go back out racing with SCCA and PCA. As a street tire, it would be great for getting back into the groove of teaching myself again not to get tires too hot around the course.
