Also think about how hot the metal ***** will get when your car is sitting in the sun during the summer. The integrated GTS shift **** is much more ergonomic than a ball on a stick ... and fits the look and feel of the 928 better, just my opinion. You can get the GTS shift ***** from Roger100.

Thanks for the input and feedback. Ergonomics and styling vary from person to person, so this is a good option for anyone looking for a classic ball shift ****.

For temperature control, we offer a Delrin **** option. You can read about the full details on the product page linked below:

@928sg - i think anyone looking at any form of metal **** will have considered the heat issue in the summer. what you're buying with FF are the aesthetics, even though you don't happen to like a 'ball on a stick'.

You might want to consider the weight of the metal ****. If it's heavier than stock it won't be kind to the drive train.

True, styling and aesthetics certainly play a role in this upgrade. I understand that's subjective, and that some owners prefer the period specific OEM look.

What you will tangibly gain from this upgrade, however, is much more direct and solid shifter feel and action. The rubber OEM shift **** isolates the driver from the mechanical act of shifting, numbing the driving experience. I've always been pleasantly surprised at the how the benefits of this simple modification will transform the driving experience!

I myself prefer the Delrin **** - I like the lighter weight and temperature benefits. That said, the aluminum **** actually outsells the Delrin version, so it seems most drivers don't mind waiting the extra few minutes for the **** to cool off in exchange for the heavier weighted shifts. I encourage each prospective purchaser to weigh those pros and cons for themselves to choose the right setup for their preferences.

In addition to the **** material, I offer an extended base shaft that raises the shift **** height by 1 to 2 inches, so that's something to consider for anyone interested in bringing the shift **** up closer to the steering wheel.

That heat retained in a metal shift **** when parked in the sun is no joke. It will definitely burn your hand.

Also, isn't the delrin shift **** a bit light-weight? Someone else mentioned that a heavy shift **** would put strain on the drive train, but I've never heard that before.

The best shift **** I ever had was a stainless steel ball wrapped in leather.

The Delrin **** is quite a bit heavier than the OEM ****, given that the base is aluminum.
