93 928GTS special option?
The listing on ebay says the following.
"Sport Mode Switch – this is the best option of all. If you look in the ashtray you will see a switch which, when engaged, upgrades your shifting to sport mode. With the switch on, the transmission thinks that the passing gear switch is already depressed. The result is that when you are at speed, say on the highway, you only need to slightly depress the accelerator for full passing power. I have been told that there are only 2 or 3 other GTS’s with this option. "
I have all the manuals and books on the GTS and have never read this. Does anyone have a GTS that does this?
Also, first time I have seen cup wheels painted white - they look nice!

Dont know about an option from the factory, and I sure don't know about only 2 or 3 cars having that option. I know for a fact that my 87 has that option in the ashtray, cause I put it there last weekend
And yes, in my case its the toggle switch for the kickdown.
Total cost of this option? $7 (switch from Radio Shack and some time forming a plastic panel)

I have a stock switch like that in my Toyota.
It would be cool to transplant one.
Including the dash light that says "POWER"...
Heh heh!
But I still think the "dead pedal" option is the way to go.
I still need to do that, by the way...
