Is this different from the 1978 version?

I'm afraid that there are a couple of things that are different so I'm going to say that it will only fit 1980-1982 928's
Having said that the evaporator alone lists for $894.00
and fits 78-86 928's

So, am I getting this part? I am expecting an '82 to arrive next week. This is the whole thing, "a brand new AC housing with a new heater core ,evaporator,
expansion valve , and new vacuum control pods." right?

If I am, can you please also add in a "front spoiler fasteners" kit for my '89?

Thank you-Hoi

I know my airbox has cracked because the PO did some repairs on it with glassfiber stuff. The fins of the ac core look like they are bent somewhat but it appeared to be leak free when vacuum tested some time ago. Having said that, It is a typical case of don't fix what isn't broken, while in fact the black housing is broken but "repaired". Taking it off the car means it will fall apart. But if the new one won't fit, it is no option so I must let it go. Does anybody have a used one for a '78?

Since you are the lucky owner of the new AC housing, you one old one obsolete. Would you be willing to ship it to me? With all the goodies attached?

Sorry Ad, but this one is a spare for my '82 that is arriving next week, not my '78, which is still on my lift and I wouldn't know if I need this part yet or not.

Planning to keep the '82 as original as possible, since I bought it from the original owner of that car, who is 89 yrs old retired surgeon. I have to see if that car needs any big repairs.
