Injectors shipped to Witchhunter. Here are the gloves that I assume are orig. There was also some kind of leather belts in the car. Any ideas on the belt ?

Got my injectors back from Witchunter. Turnaround time was great. They confirmed that all the injectors were plugged with rust. I think what annoys me the most is the fact that the family I bought the car from sent the Porsche to a Bay area Porsche specialist that charged 2800.00 to drain gas tank, install new pump, filter and a bunch of other stuff. The car ran for two days. All the crap they did not bother to get out of the gas tank made junk of a brand new pump. How do you charge someone that kind of money, be a Porsche specialist and not know the crap still in the tank is going to lock up that pump. Bead blasted the inside of the tubes and washed them out to make sure there was no more crud in them like what fell out.

Are you saying that brown rusty grit fell out of the fuel rails..?!?

Wow. Nasty. So what about the rest of the fuel lines on the car?

Are you somehow cleaning them (flushing them) out also?

I have steam cleaned the tank, pulled the cap off one of the fuel rails and ran the pump. Clean gas was coming out but after seeing the crap coming out of the rail I will put more effort into it.

I would suggest that you replace the fuel rails ,
928 INTL should have some used parts that will be in good condition,
blow some carb cleaner through the line from the tank to the engine to see if it has a bunch of rust,
if so then replace that line as well with a used part.

Once you see rust in the lines then the lines should be replaced as nothing will stop the corrosion from continuing and the fresh injectors will get plugged

I have a very good media blaster that I think got all the rust out of the rails. Then I flushed them with a evaporative cleaner. They should be fine.

No longer own it. The engine was acquired from the Miss Budweiser race boat team. It was one of their spares.

A crazy guy named Rod Hadfield in Australia built it. Amazing workmanship.
