Default Acquired a 1979 Auto parts car

A gentleman posted this car a few weeks ago. (Seems the thread is deleted.) Seems I was the only person to offer to take away his late father's parts car. One stall in the garage is cleared out now.

Lots of stuff on the car but some of the easiest parts were previously disposed of. No tail light lenses, headlights or window motors. Looks like the interior is still in there but disassembled and under other stuff.

The car is green metallic now but looks to have been gold or copper originally. The interior or caramel or something like that.

A PO added some rubber strips around the wheelwells and some foam rubber along the bottom of the doors. Spoiled the smooth, no rub-strips body. The doors are shot as the metal has separated at the bottom of the door.

I'll be going through it, slowly. Other projects beckon. By the end of summer, the shell needs to be gone.

I would love the gas tank cradle and Rear tank cover. I would also like the little plastic covers on the rear wiper if they are intact. Radio bezel as well....PM'd you also...

I offered and then changed my mind a few days before I was going to pick it up. Thought about restoring it but it was too far gone for me to dive into given the age.

Some bits are going into the vault. Sorry.

To be honest, I haven't even looked at the fuse panel yet.

Let me clarify that I'm not selling anything. At least not yet. I've got things to do before making more work for myself. The guy was on the edge of having it towed and crushed so went and got it.

Still not selling, but I will trade this vehicle, as pictured, for a super-cool intake that adds 100 hp with maybe just a new exhaust system and a RRFPR, too. And maybe cams, but then I'll expect 150hp.

I'll deliver the pile for free within a 350 mile radius as part of the bargain. (That covers all of Wisconsin. Hint.)

Default Nearing the end...

The shell is ready to go.

I finished up today with removing the headliner and roof. The hatch is inside the car. The doors had separated along the whole bottom of each. Worn-out seats. Otherwise the car was stripped of parts. I've given away a bunch of interior parts and suspension parts. Seeing another thread, those decent front rotors were a prize.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of the electrical motors worked. The fuel accumulator looks new, too. I plan to drop the engine into a '80 Euro S while rebuilding that CIS engine. With the aged green coolant that came out of the block I'm a bit leery but it's worth trying....at least I think so.

The car looked to have never been in an accident so the bumper covers and front fenders are in great shape. It's all stuffed into the garage or on the floor awaiting sorting and storing. Finish putting it away and I can get back to my regularly-scheduled car plans for the summer.

Default 79 parts

Morning Glen,

Do you have the original radio and surround (l know Alex asked about the surround...but maybe he changed his mind)?

Upper portion of radiator shroud (my one air intake plastic pieces is cracked)?

Air intake tubes?

Filler tube and cap for washer fluid?

Any of the colored vacuum hoses...especially the white?

Thank you,

Brian.

Sorry, not much of that was salvaged or was salvageable. No radio or upper shroud. Didn't think anyone would want the old vacuum lines. If I find stuff, I'll PM you.

I'd love to have the roof and headliner if you are willing to sell. I'm guessing not...

First off: not selling anything. We know the rules!

I did grab the roof and headliner for converting a car of mine.

Does the car have a matching set of locks and keys? Mine does not. If so, I'm interested in the ignition, hatch, doors, and glove box locks and keys.
