Smoking Tire - Matt Farrah drives an S4

He's a real car guy who understood he was driving an 80s car - and got a lot more than he expected. Best 928 "review" video I've seen ever - because this was mostly a first-drive reaction from a guy who has driven a lot of amazing cars. He wants one.

That was fun!
Load it up and coast through the corner though? Hm, none of mine abided that...
He drove it optimally though, not for hair on fire white knuckle envelope pushing, just some fun adrenalin evoking, respectful romping.
I liked the 'whup' steering confidence blip- betting that was a little weisach axle pivot...he didn't seem to have that degree of knowledge to anticipate that extra turn in.
Was the car rmb? All that talk of driving to pebble beach...Gregg could pull quite a coup getting him a stroker to try? Or absent that a Murf or Victor forced induction car.

928 S4 on 'One Take' (The Smoking Tire)
I did a search and didn't find this already posted (sorry if i missed it). Matt Farah was much impressed in his "one take" with the 928

Definitely! That was very cool to see his honest first timer impression, and that it was so positive is a testament to how great these cars were/are. Very cool.

I remember seeing this car for sale over the summer here in Portland, OR because of that damn Nardy Steering Wheel. It was listed for well over $30K.

Cool...thanks for posting.. I love it when "new" folks discover the 928.
I saw that someone posted up Mark A's willow springs run (in response to Matt's request for someone racing a 928". Hope he watches the whole clip. That'll give him even more appreciation for the 928 ..
I just hope I can get my early 78 before prices go absolutely crazy...

Definitely thanks for posting.
I am waiting anxiously to get my car back from Greg Brown with his full custom exhaust system. Of course once that project started it unearthed items that needed fixing bringing my total bill to more than I paid for it back in 2010, oops.... The post about the GTS going for $130k at auction made me feel better about the $ spent and watching this has me excited to get it back and go for a drive just for the heck of it.
I am not sure Matt drove it long enough to really appreciate it though, someone needs to tell him how much better it gets once you have a few hundred miles in one under your belt.
