If you could get this Ka to China I bet somebody would pay $75,000 being that it's number #61

It's in silver, the color of prosperity and good fortune.

And remove the k&n sticker from the intake tube. Plus for that money the engine bay should look well kept.

Didn't realize you could get a US/Canada '90 with a non-airbag dash- Certainly in the ROW, but perhaps the Canadian market too?

Sticker has 1 more option than PET has, which is missing M935:

WP0JB0927LS869061

1990
C36
M28.47
G28.55

M139- Adjustable Seat Heating - Left
M340 Seat heating - Right
M418- Protective side mouldings
M650- Sunroof
M691- CD-Player "CD-2" with radio
M900-Tourist delivery
M980- Seat cover - draped leather

M935 - Seat cover rear RLL

wrong external mirrors for a 928 GT. Looks like a 1990 S4. Not sure if VIN is a guide to whether its a GT or not. Also often bemused when trying to seel a car like this that a bigger effort isn't made wrt clean interior (carpets) and a better looking engine bay.

It doesn't look like the GT short shifter. Maybe it is an '89 5 speed as opposed to a '90 GT? Would also explain the no airbags.

Plus it is advertised in Quebec. If not specified as US $, it is CDN $. That would be about $36K or $37k US.

I'm with Cameron and Rob, must be an '89. All North American cars had airbags as of MY 90

I think it's a '90, VIN is for a '90, has the right engine (M28.47) and transmission (G28.55) #'s to be a GT, 639 is nice to see but is not always present. The real proof is checking engine and trans serial numbers during the PPI.

Not sure why there's a '9' in the 14th digit of the VIN- there are 16 1990GTs listed as Canadian market, this is the only one with a 9 there. Probably not a typo, as there's already an LS860061, which is a California market '90 S4.

Anyway, I like 90 GTs as much as the next guy but if they don't own a vacuum cleaner what other laziness has this car suffered from? Would certainly check all the places the VIN is stamped to make sure it's all consistent and matches the title paperwork.

Pretty sure it's just the 89 GTs that have those option codes (and a couple others if memory serves) b/c there was a 5-speed 928 built for the 89 MY that was not a GT. MY 90/91, if it has a 5-speed it's a GT.

External mirrors are the same, or at least visually are the same from 78 up to the 1992/93 GTSs when they went to the tear drop style as opposed to the flag on the earlier 928s.

Since there is a "L" in the VIN, it's a 1990 model.

As for the cleanliness, I'm always amazed by some people that they actually sell cars in spite of themselves.....
