Hi

Continuing my work on the washer system. I took out the washer level sensor today, my questions are: How should this work? Should it be a "short-circuit" when float is at bottom, and an "open circuit when float is in the top position? Seems like mine is like that, just wondering if it should have some ohms, I mean it says 1,2W 0,5A on it? Or is it a pure switch?

Think it actually has the production date stamped on it as well

I've never tested one personally, but I would assume it is just a switch. Open or completed circuit...off/on. But, maybe someone else would know forsure.

Now, the fuel gauge would be a different story...and ohms readings would change as the float moved up and down the sender.

Did you ever find the washer tank/reservoir you were looking for?

I rechecked my 78...and it has the port on the side and in the cap, too.

Brian.
