The new radiator and intercooler have arrived. Here we have positioned them in place and welded the front mounting tabs to them. I am fashioning up the lower/rear mounts now.

Saturday we made new bracketry for the oil cooler, welded them in place and got them painted up.
Today we mounted the oil cooler and the power steering coolers.

We made up the mandrel-bent hard lines for the radiator hoses and modified the intercooler inlet this weekend. Those are finished - the cold air inlet for the supercharger supply side is designed (you can see it on the far left in these pictures) and mandrel bent tubes are on their way to us now. Then I can wrap it up.

how does that flow work better with both inlet and outlet being sourced at the top?
How is the supercharger driven?

interesting! what about timing belt covers? none? if not, maybe you could fab some "halfy" types that just cover the main pulleys. maybe with your underbody panels, there is no real chance for "stuff" to get in their like the rest of us with exposed underbodies?

I have not run timing belt covers on my race car - EVER. I have done WPTB service on some 928's and had stones fall out when I removed the covers. Never figured out how they got IN there, but they couldn't get out, so...
More importantly, we can perform a quick inspection of the timing belt condition and tension every time we pull the dipstick. And we do.
It has never been a problem, even at Pikes Peak in the gravel.
Still, RACE CAR. Different. I do have timing belt covers on my street-driven 928's.

Started her up today - was soooo goooood to hear it run again (first time since the accident). We are chasing remaining gremlins here and there now, some caused by the exchange from the old dash and installation of the new digital dash. little things...
