Finding a 928 locally will be tough. eBay is the easiest, but AutoTrader.com is also good.
Even here in the Los Angeles area, nice later model 928s are hard to find. Most are in poorly condition and need extensive repairs, so if your in a hurry, your search will be a tough one.
But prices are a bargain now, so don't give up hope.

I live in Redondo Beach. I just happened to drive by mine in a lot on PCH. There are generally a few for sale on autotrader.com. If I see one locally I'll PM you.

Things are looking better. A friend called today and told me he knows of 2 S4's that are here locally that may be up for sale.
One is an 87 5 speed with 78k on it and the other is an 88 auto with 70k it. Remarkably they are both black with grey interiors. I am going to look at the auto some time this week.
It has been 8 years since I let go of my 84 S. As you can tell I am just getting back into this any ideas on what to look for on these cars other than the normal service items??? And Any thoughts about $$$.
