Forgot to add "gently used" to the thread title

All kidding aside, I know that you can re wrap them in foam and use them again. So it might be in someone's interest to buy these as cores as ones in decent shape cost $$$.

Mark - Could you please stick a ruler in there and see what the diameter of the "slinky" wire is? I'm going to try Francesco's idea but buy some of the CEET tubing as Dave suggested in that other thread. I ditched my GTS tubes years ago and went with Roger's MB tubes. But it'd be nice to go back to a stock look. Danke sehr.

hard to be exact as it varies all over the place but I'd say 2.75 in

Thank you, Mark. 5 feet of CEET ducting and 2 sheets of foam are on the way. Think I'll try Welwood contact cement. Hopefully they hold up better than the originals that have Willhoit price and WalMart quality.

I don't know about ISO, but the adhesion is excellent. Concern is the effects of the engine heat and whether it will become hard and crumbly and lose its stick-to-itness. Open to recommendations for a high-temp cement.

All I know is Weldwood HHR landau cement is A) illegal to be sold in Orange County, and B) all the local upholstery guys swear by it for carpet, vinyl and headliners. Those two things make it good.

I think the foam will fail before the glue does.
