hey I checked the site, it didn't have what I was looking for, I am looking for an actual VIN decoder which tells engine code or how to read it

Or, you can look under the carpet in the trunk and, maybe, find the square white sticker with all the option codes, engine code, and tranny code on it. If it's there you can go back to the site I gave you and all the option codes will be listed.
Or, like BerNard said.

Look on PET - select the model year, and then any page. Once you are there , open the "functions" tab at the top.
From memory, you can look up engine codes, translission codes, and "M" codes (option codes)
