Yeah, Curt, I was also like you. I had my car for real cheap, no PPI, saw what it was, and grabbed it. It was kept out of the salt, so no rust what so ever, but tires, TB, WP Porken Tensioner, plugs, intake refresh and a used tranny later, I am up to $6000 for the parts. Oh, and of course, lots of relays.
Cheers

Sure, here are a few photos. I have had it since 2008. It's a garage queen that comes out in fair weather. Last week I drove it to N.J. to pick up a car for my buddy, and no one knows what it is, so it flies under the radar of most people.

Too bad you don't know what the S6 Plus is, and never questioned about it..... Only one in N. America. Here is a photo. It is a C4 Audi, with a V8. Audi's answer to Porsche. After completing the run of RS2's, Porsche would not build any more, they were too busy with their own production, which was ever increasing, so Audi gave them the finger, and built 850 of these, which were faster than all of Porsche's line up, except the TT. But Porsche guys don't want to hear this, so back to the regular programming.

I don't wanna toot my own horn, but I am the only person in N. America to own both of these cars, at the same time. Hey, also my 87 S4, which I am liking, more and more. Now, on to my cruise which always accelerates, when I put it on. Module, I believe? Have to search around a bit.

I bought my 82 5 speed in 97 for $8,100. I have every receipt since then and including having the motor pulled and rebuilt it totals just under $18,000, No regrets....

Donald - All you need now is a 1991-1994 Mercedes Benz 500 E. Built by Porsche

You are so correct, Captain. They are amazing cars, and would really finish off the collection, but a divorce would be following that purchase. And I would need a bigger garage. Believe me, I have looked at them.
