Default WTB: Burgundy Tool Kit Cover and Tools

When I purchased my car, the tool kit was completely missing from the rear hatch. I'm not even sure exactly what SHOULD be there, it appears that there is a black plastic housing 928-551-181-05 and a set of tools, towhook, etc.

First question, is that all that goes in that space? It appears that there are supposed to be a couple of thumb screws to bolt it down correct?

Second question, is it supposed to be carpeted/color matched or just bare?

Third question, does anyone have one that they'd like to sell? I'd like to get a complete kit if possible.

If it IS color matched, my interior is burgundy.

Thanks all...

Go join the Facebook page,Porsche 928 parts for sale, Richard Van Meeteren had a complete kit for sale, yes it should be covered in matching carpet, the screws are just plastic locking lugs, sometimes there was also a spare fuse kit tucked in there as well.

Maybe change your title to specifically ask about a burgundy tool kit for your year model.

Somebody here has one, I remember seeing a burgundy one leaning in a corner of a garage...caught my eye...since I have a burgundy interior, too. I believe it was either in one of Rod Edwards posts or in the "Ladybug" topic.

Also "honerboy" over on Pelican board disassembled a burgundy car a few years ago and may have one. Just go to the 928 section there and you will find him.

Brian.

Thanks Mark, hoping to find a complete set but will give you a call should I tire of looking. Trying to stay focused on the operational expenses and defer the cosmetics but thought I'd put word out now in case it takes me 6 months.

REALLY looking forward to my 928intl shipments coming this week! Hope you guys are catching your breath after the sale 👍
