I have just bought a GTS for that kind of money. It is a long term itch since 77 that I have scratched but not a car I expect to make money on factoring in the cost of upkeep.

Early and late cars seem to have a good market in UK just now.

 

Honestly everything has risen by some percentage.....


Many people are buying classics instead of any interest from banking, and hence traders have pushed up the prices on what would of been well cheap 3 yrs ago...

Where would I hook into the used 928 market in the UK?

I may wanna invest in a RHD car for the novelty.

928uk.org has a mailing list I have just signed up to.

Others include Car and Classic site and Autotrader.

If you want to see top end prices, Hexagon or Specialist Cars of Malton. Think 5 speed GTS territory.

 

There is a Cobalt GTS just come up in the PCGB Porsche Post this month.

If I had not just bought one this would have been top of the shopping list.

The fact that it was advertised in PCGB mag provides a high chance of a very well looked after car. Same goes for 928.org.uk (most knowledgeable) group and Independent Porsche Enthusiast. I always advise people to look for cars owned by genuine enthusiast, and so think this is more true of 928 than other Porsches

 

I wont be looking for anything older than S3, more like S2 age, and in OK shape yet passes MOT.
