We sell them.
Mark at 928 International sells them.
They are called dual flywheel locks - fit both early and late cars.
Been around for years. Price about $66.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

thanks roger.. BUT, (and i hate to even ask this, as it can take money out of your pocket)
can a standard early flywheel lock be modified to fit an S4 by drilling one hole?? or is it not worth the risk, as a little off here and you can damage a tooth on the flywheel if not perfect.

The base of either the early or late lock is not big enough to add the extra hole - hence the large square base as seen in your picture.

Mark. That one you have pictured actually has 4 holes. Not 3.

It takes at least 6-7 brake bleed jobs before those vice grips round off the nipple.

Since Carl is still running the same times as the record breaker spec miatas, and I tend to lap all them over a race, I don't think Carls car will be a problem regardless of how much hp he puts in that car.
in all fairness to Carl, he is just tuning the car , and not racing it.
BUT, if he lets me fly out and help set up that car, he would be banging on the door of Anderson's records!

Ok, im helping my buddy with the 6 liter do a timing belt. classic.. he has never done one , and im helping over the phone and via text. he is doing well so far! Ill go over there to help with installing and tensioning it, but he is doing the grunt work
so, is there a way to pull off the front nut off the crank without the tool? can he use an electric rattle gun rated at 250ftlbs or will it no way move it. we can worry about cranking the bolt down later after its all together
He is doing some fast work. using all my short cuts
pop off fan belts, with large flat head screwdriver and clicking over the starter
drain radiator
pull radiator hoses
put fans on top of engine
pull plug wires
remove left and right belt covers, dip stick
remove rotors
remove ABS wire
3 bolts and drop alternator/PS consol in one piece ... move to the side a few "
remove crank bolt
remove center cover
pull off harmonic balancer and pulleys
loosen belt and remove, replace!
reverse to get it all together. DONE !

He's not going to get a tin cup for doing it quickly- why are we excited about doing it fast? Is he in the middle of some 24 hr enduro?
