I'd love to have just the motor for that price, to put in my cab. But don't want to part out a salvageable car. Don't have time, space. Don't need a 4th 928 right now. Etc.
But don't assume its a bad deal because of the price. No market for 928s in Hawaii.

Terry, buy it, have it towed to my weekend place on the windward of oahu side, get it running there, then ship it to Maui. I'm betting that draining the tank, a fuel pump, and a battery has a 50% chance of getting it on the road. Only limitation is that you would not want it to sit long on the windward side as serious rust will start to set in almost instantly. Bigger problem would be possible back taxes. I asked about that, but got no answer. I'm guessing that means $1k plus in fees. Still you would save that and more on this car.
