Default Alarm on Hood?

Hey guys, never new the hood was wired into the central alarm system.
I had the car locked and noticed the the hood was not hatched down completely.
Pushed it down to latch and got an alarm. By the time I came back with my keys the alarm was off.
I unlocked and started the car without issue.
Anything else I need to do? ie., if car was disabled, it would not have started right?

Nope, you're good. And now you can sleep better at night knowing your beautiful intake tubes are protected

Note that the alarm circuit for the hood, at least on my 1989 car, is wired in parallel with the original alarm wire from the radio bucket/sleeve. If you intend to retain the function of the hood switch to the alarm system, you'll want to verify that the connection at the radio bucket is intact and functional, or isolated.

Ha!
Yes, on second thought, I should call the insurance guy and add another ten grand to the value, right?
