The white turbo most likely is an early one. I knew a guy who bought a new very early one in person in Germany and had it shipped here. It was a red one, but had the same graphics. Never saw a U.S. one with those graphics, wonder if it was just for cars sold there? The graphics were "turbo"

I remember you showing this car here in Charlotte years ago. It smelled like a new vehicle and was absolutely flawless from my perspective. You must be proud of the attention it is commanding now. Great job!

Thanks, guys. The fluorescent lights in the garage are deceiving - the Turbo is a 76 U.S. Spec turbo in Polar Blue. This car was delivered with Turbo graphics from the factory and is actually THE car from the NY Autoshow. It is definitely one of my pride and joys as is Blu82.

I saw "Kermit" being mentioned on this thread and had to pop in here.

Thanks Fernando, I'm thrilled to have been a part of the cars history and that it wasn't too far gone when I bought it. It could have very easily ended up a basket case had I not been in a position to buy it and bring it back. It needed a great deal of TLC along with many thousands of $ in basically nuts and bolts to replace the corroded stuff underneath the car. Lots of resto in terms of refinishing stuff on the under side and cleaning up after the rodents left their homes. Certainly not to the point of what Rob and William are doing but, at the time it was a large under taking.
I imagine Kermit will get all or most of the price asked.

This is true however, the PO to me parked Kermit in a shed with a dirt floor which left almost everything that wasn't protected with a coating or cosmoline on the underside with varying states of surface corrosion.... It did attack some of the powder coated parts as well like the battery box and cross member. I had to refinish the final muffler and the section upstream from it. Apparently, squirrels had easy access to it also and made their winter home in it. Was pretty nasty fortunately, they didn't chew on any wiring!

Your cars are always impeccable, and that only happens with effort. Great job!

The mileage comment wasn't intended to discount the effort you put into Kermit, quite the contrary. Age and the wrong conditions can play havoc on finishes regardless of driven miles. I just thought it was humorous to point out that Minerva literally has 100 times the mileage, quite the contrast from that single measurement.

Can't wait to see the final result of what you and Rob are doing. Tackling something similar with a very nice one owner 90 GT myself right now that ironically also sat in a shed on a dirt floor...

I still remember all the pics you posted showing the cleaning process. Man you have an amazing ability to stay focused and clean something to virtual perfection. Beautiful car. Hope all is well with you and yours, Chuck.

I knew there was a restoration but didn't realize how extensive it was. How surprising that the previous owner would have let a vehicle with virtually no use deteriorate into that condition. Even more impressive now knowing the whole story.
As someone else mentioned, I'm sure it'll command a sizeable sum when the right buyer comes along.
