I am going through the troubleshooting process for my headlights. Relay replaced. Fuses replaced. I have a new switch now.
I removed the old switch using needlenose pliers in the two tabs after pulling the **** off. To my surprise, the switch was still connected in the back and I disconnected it for fear of pulling the wires too far. The connector slid back into the pod. Now, I feel I may have made a mistake and that I needed the connector pulled out to connect my new switch. I did try aligning the new switch with the pushed in connector, but I can't get it to brace from the back to push in the connector tabs.
Do I need to open the pod up now?

Hi, if you can not fish it out through the hole with a something stiff (if you use something metal disco the battery as Light switch has always hot wires). You can just remove the plastic lower Pod cover two screws and carefully reach up or use something to guide the connector through the hole.
And as you have discovered ALL the Pod switches need to be pulled through the Pod to connect and disconnect them, except for the Ignition key switch.
