According to seller, he has another 15 to 18 cars in his collection of various makes and models, but only one 928GTS. I know of several people who do not even transfer title for many year, even up to the point of sale.

It is possible that the GTS has not gone through a NY state inspection.

I would luv the own this GTS. But for me I have to pray & hope it would pass CA smog. There is no word if the emissions is complete. Others questions come to play...

does the GTS actually have a title? Is it a matching numbers car? Are all the body panels orig? Is the interior orig? If I lived in state that is emissions free I would be daring.

As it stands at $45k w/ almost 100k on the odometer ( not sure if that's 100% accurate ).
I do not have oddles of play money to take the leap of faith.

I am in the market for a 928GTS 5spd of any year. I am not too concerned on mileage.
I regret selling my GTS 5spd in 2013.

I guess I will have to be patient.
There are states that only require a bill of sale. Rent a mailbox there with mail forwarding, and get it registered there. Ya don't have to live there. Then take you're new out of state title, and get it registered where ya live.

I'm transitioning from Maine to upstate NY. Maine wouldn't give me a title for the car is greater than 25 years old. I can't get titled in the state where I bought the car for I am not registering it there. When I got my truck registered and titled in NY, I asked about getting the Porsche titled there. I told her at DMV I didn't have a title because of the 25 year issue. She said 'you have a current reg for the car in Maine ? you have an address here ? we'll give you a NY title when you register it here'.

Interesting that has not been sold.
Could it be more than a title issue holding it back?

You'd think a 5spd 95 GTS would be in someone's stall quickly.

Did anybody buy this? It was on eBay for no reserve. I bid it up to $38200 and it sold for $38600.

38.6 is a good deal. No matter the title (assuming it was stolen recovery). God help all the investor types if Porsche ever decides to build a 2 door Panamera.....

And I could of bought it two years ago for $26k! About 3 wks ago I was talking to the mechanic/dealer who serviced it for 10 yrs & sold it after taking it in on trade from his customer. I mentioned about it being fs for a while now with a dealer in NY. From the dealers pics, it looks like the front bumper cover has been painted. Someone just needs to go & buy this one so this thread will go away............
