One owner 91 S4 47k miles w/ Exclusive program options for sale in SLC, UT (PICTURES)
Text in ad:
"One owner, I purchased my Porsche from the Scottsdale Porsche dealership in 1991 right off the show room floor. I have the original sticker of 85,806.00. I would like my car to go to a car collector, or a Porsche enthusiast. The car is immaculate, the seats and carpet have never been touched. The car looks brand new and runs the same. Everything is original.I never drive the car it's 25 years old, and needs to find a new owner. I am tired of starting it every week and driving it around the block. This is the Perfect Storm for someone."
I took at look at this a few weeks ago. Great car! Drove like new. The seller bought the car for his wife in 91, she liked it but thought it was a little bold for her taste so she drove it rarely. Floor mats and seat covers have been on since new. I looked underneath the seat covers, the seats are perfect but I didn't get a picture of it. He had some custom pin-stripe work done with her name on it. The hood struts are worn and need to be replaced and hood aligned (see in pictures). The tint is okay but I think it should be removed. It has always been garaged and hand washed. They want the car to go to someone who will look after it just as well as they did.
They said they are in no rush to sell it and money isn't an issue. They have it listed for $40k but they told me multiple times to just make an offer (way out of my price range). They are moving back to Arizona if I remember right and they want to down size the number of cars they have.
I believe his name was Ken (but could have been Kent) he gave me permission to pass on his information here. You can call or text him at 385-232-0729

Uh oh... positive hot post cover sign and oil splattering...
Has a nice history. Hope someone in the know takes a good look and can make a home for it.

Beautiful and GLWTS! I hope they get at least 75% of what they want for it. Unfortunately, there is no commentary as to whether there has been any of the services performed (timing belt, water pump, tensioner, motor mounts, fuel lines, intake refresh etc.). That accounts for a good 7-$9K in catch up work. It's still a great starting point for someone who doesn't want a high-mileage example.

Low mileage examples are getting hard to find and if you can negotiate a better price or the owner can provide all records that would be a fun Porsche to own. I would prefer stick but that's me.

At that price I would too...if the car was perfect and offered at a deep discount I'd do auto but not really what I want so...

Does he have the D90's that came on the car? It's odd seeing a '91 with the man hole covers.
I would add that a '91S4 is my personal favorite. Would love to have one as a daily driver.

Per window sticker the car should have D90's not the man hole cover wheels in the pics. Agreed, if there is current maintenance, this is a very nicely optioned car. Has the heated 12 way seats and lots of leather covered bits in the interior. Not sure about the highlighted Porsche script on the rear bumper cover. Aftermarket headunit stereo.
EDIT: Adam, both of us are up late this Sunday? Both caught the missing D90's, you a few minutes before me.

This car has the very rare carrara grey (marbelized) leather. It is a slightly greenish-grey color, not even due to the marbelized pattern. I don't think you can still buly this leather or get it repaired. So I'm glad to hear it's in good condition. I have only seen this a few times in US 928 models so far.
Yep.
We are in agreement
Make me an offer that I can't refuse!

Given what we've been seeing n prices, this seems to be a fair asking price.
I would certainly loose the covers wipe everything down and retake the presentation pictures.
I'm sure most, including myself, on this list, immediately get a negative feeling when they see the covers because of what usually is underneath.

I also wondered about the D90s after I looked over the copy of the invoice.
The ad had no pictures so I went up with my camera and took a few. I didn't want to be too intrusive so I didn't remove the covers enough for a picture.
The seller and his wife are really nice people. I believe they would be willing to make a good deal for someone that shares their passion for the car.
