928 instruments question??

Will the instruments from an earlier s4(1987) fit a later s4(1991)?
Are the connections in the back same?
Does anyone know?

No the wiring plugs and connectors are different as 1989 onwards are known as digital Dashes with 3 indication windows within the dash for alarms and read outs.
