Help in St Louis Please
I have just purchased an 87s4 Auto, After a-lot of reading looking at purchasing all rubber lines under the hood from 928RUs, but kinda gun shy on starting this on my own, anybody know an experienced tech/ owner in the St Louis area?

Very easy job. Pull one line at a time off and repLace it with the new one before the next one is pulled off.
This is one of the easier jobs to do on this car.
Just dive in... You will be fine

Congrats on your purchase. Post some pictures of your car when you get a minute. The first thing to buy before you drive the car anywhere is all new fuel hoses and a set of "Morehouse" CD's. Many 928's die an untimely death because of a fuel fire due to a leaking hose. The CD's (created by owner Jim Morehouse) have just about every scrap of technical documentation outside the factory and will be invaluable to properly maintaining the car.
As far as an experienced owner/tech in your area I'm sure someone will be along with a recommendation.

Jerybak, welcome aboard!
Good to see a new shark owner in STL.
That car looks great from the pic. Was it local before? I thought I saw a red S4 with a black spoiler about six months ago on 270.
As was mentioned, the fuel line job is pretty straight forward. But, yes, you want to check and double check all fittings. I remember my first time, lol.
And yes, you want a fire extinguisher on site as a precaution.
Exciting stuff, I will be around if you need some back up. There's also some other great guys around here in STL. It's funny how these cars bring people together.

Welcome....nice looking car......more pictures.
Just dive in.
I don't think there is anything that cannot
be fixed with the help of this forum.
Not a S4 guy, but I would be happy
to help ya any way I can.
Are you planning on doing the timing belt?

Congrats. It's nice to see more cars in MO.
Don't be afraid to dive in. I brought a rough 1980 last March. I was not a car guy when I started, but I really wanted to learn. Every time I start a new project, I am a bit apprehensive, but so far, with the a lot of help from this forum, I've successfully completed projects (and the car hasn't even blown up). I've gained enough confidence to even take on big projects on my daily driver. This forum has a lot of information and how-to's. I read a lot of threads before I start.
I'm no expert on the S4, but the advise above is sound.

1st - spend the $$$ to become a member here on RL. Well worth the scratch.
2nd - as suggested earlier, pictures, pictures, pictures, pictures. I'm a few months ahead of you in ownership, and I've taken more pictures of my car in that time than I probably have of my family over the last 2 years. I may not use 99% of them, but that 1% has proven very useful to me as I've gone back to retrace my steps.
Welcome to the tank!
