I found a set of used and pretty worn 12 way, positrol & heated seats at Marks place - 928 International - and for a reasonable amount of $ Mark parted with them. Mark has an Aladdin cave of seats on his mezzanine floor.
Shipped them to Rob Budd - www.classic9leathershop.com - and again for a reasonable amount of $ he recovered them in black RAF leather with red piping and converted them to sport seats.
One extremely happy bunny!!!!!

Was lucky to get heated sports seats in my 87 when I bought her. While I had them recovered here in Atlanta I swapped in a pair of 12 way comfort seats and couldn't wait to get my sport seats back! Can literally drive all day in them. Well worth getting if you can find a pair!

Silver 79,

All that needs to be done is get a pair of backrests and have them modified, then upholstered the same as your current seats. Remove the backrests from your current seat bottoms, install the 'new' sport backrests and you've got most of what you want a lot cheaper than buying a full set (I don't think the seat bottom bolsters are as dramatically different between comfort and sport). The seat belt keeps the 'butt' in place, it is the larger bolsters on the backrest that keeps the upper body in place.

If interested, I have at least 2 backrests, one with upholstery and one without that I'll let go cheaply!

Uneekone,

IF you really like the 3 spoke wheel (as I did for the 5 years I had it in my GTS), contact me. I have already made the small modification needed for the wheel hub on two wheels. I have air bag and clock spring that is needed also, along with instructions on how to install it (your car must be an airbag car for it to fit).

Cheers

The metal frame part is the key.... I have the jigs to mount and weld factory bars to comfort seats.

If someone had some saport seats to cut up and get the bars made bent to match we could all have sport seats for cheap
