Welcome to the tank. A lot of useful info & personality here. Make sure to put your Year and Model in your sig to make future questions easier to diagnose.

Hacker - as a Cubs Fan, I'm right there with you rooting for the Royals.

There are several long-time 928 owners in your area (Florida west coast) who will can also offer some helpful tips and share their 928 experience. Just look for them here on Rennlist and in the 928 Owners Club.

Smile I snuck in

No body left the door open, I shot the guard in the neck with a blow dart, stole his keys, went through his wallet, then snuck in when you guys were sleeping.

Oh, I just found out that I may be infectious too, so you guys should all get check-ups (includes, "from the neck up"). Better safe than sorry!

I second Goober's sentiment. This forum is hands-down the most useful place I've ever found on the web.

I'm slowly making my way toward the day when I can show up somewhere in my 928--which really doesn't have any problems other than the fact that I've taken it apart--and meet many of the owners here.

They're so nice and helpful that I don't even hold a grudge for inspiring me to R&R everything I can possibly get to WYAIT troubleshooting a sensor issue.

In all seriousness, I can't say I knew exactly what I was getting into, but I'm having fun, and it wouldn't be near as fun without the support of this group.

I'll be happy to buy the beers if I ever get the chance.

I agree. Being part of this Forum is a lot of fun.
I remember years back when my first 928 was an 86.5 I had never heard of Rennlist, and used only 928 tips and Internationals tip page to work on the car. This was when online was dial up. I had first heard of Rennlist when I drove down to International and Jim Bailey made me some keys. We got to talking and he made mention of it. I slogged my way through taking car of the car and it was in really good shape. I gave it up for I had cracked head after an overheat (yep, was the short hose that gave way on the 15) and plug 4 was wet clean. A few years later I got my current S4 and logged on a year or two after. I was nervous on my first post and was practically berated for I stated I used an E clip in standard measurement because the metric one was a wee bit lose for my liking. Within a week or so I became a member, and have been here since. I think it would be nearly impossible to own and properly preserve, and maintain, such a complex car. I try to pay it forward to others, as others have to me.
This is a fun place.
