Default Thunderhill SCCA RACE this weekend 10-24-2015 (video up)

This is the grand finale final race for SCCA this weekend, and i thought with all the racing conversation, i would offer to put go-pros in different locations on the car. i can mount to see rear suspension, on the fender to see tire movement during compression down the of cambered "hill", and in the car showing oil pressure and/rpm even a g-force meter. Let me know if anyone wants to see something "working" on the race car during the race

Ill make sure i hit the rev limiter a few times too..

The championship for ITE is on the line... if the 700hp NSX finishes, he wins. otherwise, there is a chance for 2nd place on the line here.

should last time out before the long dark winter...

Mk

So with all the discussion, i thought someone would want to see something up close at the edge of adhesion... interesting.

well, ill put the goPro cameras in some creative places. for sure, somewhere so you can see the oil pressure gauge through turn 2 .

there is also a spot in the rear of the car to get the rear suspension shot of what the rear end does under high g loading. im running some pretty new 315 and 335 tires, so there should be a lot of grip and some decent times.
weather is supposed to be perfect with temps in the low 80s.

Illl make sure i get the oil pressure gauge vs RPM for at least one of the sessions.

Just practiced at thunder hilll with a bunch of cameras on the car. fender cam to show the wheel flex , if any and the rear view of the suspension.... that camera was an old go pro and over heated due to being on the exhaust side. try again in qualifying..

times were top in the entire group, which was a 1:59.3 on my old scrubs

the two 700hp NSXs are out playing . Chris Olsen ran world challenge and was a front runner , his car was taken out in a nasty crash a few years ago, Igor is the black NSX with the push to pass 700hp.

Well, the weekend was a ton of fun. 2 great races, and some good dicing with the SMG mustangs on their new stickers! the 700hp NSX finally started driving that thing to near its capability and took of running 1:54s so i was left to defend the race with the SMG cars and one transam pontiac. (at least in race one)

some good video front and rear cam that ill post, as well as the fender cam (for wheel forces view ) and suspension cam! the best part about that is watching the tire deform on high g turns, and the sound as the camera is next to the exhaust. post in a bit.

End of the season. 2nd in ITE Not that its that big of a deal... just nice to get a big picture of the car for the garage for the trophy

Next year... im trying a set of new tires... cant wait!
