So a few weeks ago the interior dash illumination lights quit working...all warning lights function.
Checked fuse and it was blown.
Replaced andnwhenninturned lights on it blew...
I assumed it was the hvac led conversion. Maybe a wire caughtnin a lever..etc...
Just replaced the fuse and its not blowing...BUT now I have a new weird issue.
I can turn on the interior lights overhead and door and they are nice and bright.
When I turn on the headlights they dimnto almost nothing... Ofni try and turn on a third overhead light ... Rear seat light... The interior lights all go out.
They do notnturn on when I shut the headlights off.
I have to turn one of the interior lights off then back on and they before they came on....
Any ideas where to start....
Oh yea...the hvac is out of the car so this is not the issue.

Were the lights working after you did the LED conversion, or was this the first time you tried to turn them on?
it sounds like there is a short to the headlights somewhere, or a problem with a ground wire. Do you recall changing any wiring at a switch in the pod or elsewhere?

I noticed in another thread that you are changing the centre console, there may be a problem there.
Others on this site have recommended that when you have a problem, go back and check what you have done recently.

Light problem began before I started 8n the flush center console project.
I thought it was the hvac so I was waiting until I dove into the center console project to look into this.
Turns out not to be the hvac
