Default Is my 1983 a Euro version?

Just received more history on this car...

SUPPOSEDLY:
My new acquisition, a 1983 with 67k miles on it, was originally purchased in Europe, driven on a European vacation, and then shipped to California...

How can I determine the truth of that? What are the implications?

Thanks!

Of course!

The VIN decoder calls it a 5-speed, but it's auto. But what ELSE is it?

^^ what McBoobs said.

If a Euro, then VIN info will show if it's really is, but might also show that it was tourist delivery option car (M900), which means it's for the US market but taken delivery of at the factory.

Wow! That's great information, and it's consistent with the car.
Thanks.
