Default K-jet FD inlet... filter screen ?

Can someone explain what I need to do in order to access the fuel distributor inlet screen in order to eliminate a slight stumble , thinking it might be partially blocked ?

The mysterious filter screen is build into the fitting that connects the inlet hose to the FD. You remove the inlet hose (pipe?), remove the fitting, and replace it. Most do not know that this screen exists, but I found that I had one when it was blocked. You can just punch out the screen, but these are old cars and there is lots of crud in the fuel lines between the fuel filter and the FD, so better to replace it. As I recall the replacement parts is about $30 from mark or roger.

That's it^^^

Fuel line/tube comes from pump up the passenger side, then across and into the lower driver's side port on the FD. The filter is internal on a union that mates the fuel line to the FD.

As I recall, its easily accessible.
It's also right near the master fuel pressure regulator....not a bad idea to replace, except that you need to fiddle with shims and the gauges to ensure your baseline pressure is correct if you elect to do so. That's for the regulator, not the union/filtering screen.
