Default Electrical Issues

Hi I have recently taken purchased a 84 928 S2 and there are a few electrical issues to attend to. I just thought I would list them as if they are common faults there may be known fixes.

Oil pressure and charging gauges stopped working at the same time

Right front indicator and side light, have changed bulbs and checked fuse

Horn

cigarette lighter

the tail light warning light comes on when the lights are turned on but the tail lights are all working fine

rear hatch release, the motor works but does not release the latch

The fuel sender. When i picked up the car the fuel gauge was not working but on filling the tank it started working although the gauge was jumpy. when disconnected from the sender the gauge seems to work fine so maybe just removing the sender and cleaning it will sort it out. The car sat for 3 years

Thats all I have found so far apart from a few control backlights

Cleaned your grounds yet? Ditto checking fuses and relays? And cleaning up the CE panel?

Re: Rear Hatch - there was a thread on this within the last few days where various fixes were discussed.

Does the cig lighter light work? Or is the whole thing not working? IIRC, the lighter and the clock are on the same circuit (might be wrong, though...)
