Default Broke ribbon circuit holder. Fix please. So bummed.

Broke the pointed leg on left side bottom ribbon circuit holder of the instrument cluster. I can use some help on this last thing after repairing the steering shaft bearings and shaft. What a job that was.

Any chance I can replace this ? Universal clip of some sort? Thanks for the help.

I broke the long portion off of one of mine.
The short hook part that pivots is still functional, as it locks automatically, just a little difficult to unlock , need to use a small pick to release it.
Edit...
I just took another look at you pic, that's a different type connector than I described.

Thanks Roger and thanks for the lower shaft bearing. Worked perfect. I should have known you would have this part also. Fantastic.

I am using this with good effect for broken plastic parts. It is useful to put material both in the gap and reinforce it from the outside (if not visible).

Q-bond is also great for rebuilding broken plastic. Just fixed the plug area of a 911 coil pack with it yesterday. It's also available from Amazon.

I have not had much luck in fixing broken plastic. May try q bond though.. I think my main issue is set time with super glue.

My connector piece(12 way) is NLA. I will look into 3 d printing tomorrow. Or will use a glue like suggested.

Just a quick note on Q-Bond.

Being from Africa, you have to be resourceful when on safari.

One time in the Congo, my radiator split open from the heat. Total despair. A cattle herder eventually came by to help. He asked me for the equivalent of 10 cents to buy materials to repair the radiator. As no other offers were forthcoming, I took him up on it. At least it would be amusing.

Several hours later, he showed up with a tube of superglue and cement dust. Mixed a bit of it together on the radiator damage. Voila. Total repair. Got some water from a mud-hole, filtered it through a sock, then drove for 3 days to civilization. Went to a fundi shop to remove the repair, but we could not. So, several years later, its still holding.

What does this rant have to do with Q-Bond? Well, I was in the states last year. Noticed it on a shelf. It's made in good old South Africa. What is it? Superglue and cement dust (or its equivalent).

But it costs a bit more than 10 cents now...
