Default Ford 30 lb Injetors opening time ??

I have looked all over for the opening time (lag, latency) for the Bosch 0280150945 injectors and found one source that says it's .259ms at 14 volts. That seems low.
Also, what warm cranking pulse width are you using with these injectors.
Thanks for the help.

Bosch 0280150945 aka Ford M9593-B302 and looks like this, correct?

[Edit: Wrong pic -- see post #3 for the correct picture]

I calculated the opening time (for Sharktuner) for that injector as 0.71 ms. That's pretty quick compared to stock (0.95 ms) or the popular A302 24# (0.84 ms) and especially the BB302 30# (1.19 ms). These numbers are calculated from the Ford Motorsports specs, and I've confirmed them with Sharktuner for the A302 and BB302 so I think the specs are good.

For cranking pulse I would start with 2.5 ms and work up from there as needed. If too low then it will be sluggish to start, if too high then it will tend to flood if it doesn't start immediately.

Sharktuner 6.3 includes a test-mode for checking opening time, shoot me an email at support at sharktuner dot net if you want more info.

Cheers, Jim

Thanks Jim,
This is what I have looks like and the spec sheet. The Ford NO. is f1se-e9a.
I had been using the stock 0.95 setting and needed to cheat my FI size all the way to 36lbs to get it close to stoic. Changed the lag time to .35 and Bingo, setting the FI size to 30 worked. I will play around with it tonight but I think somewhere between the .3 and .71 should be right.

p.s. thanks for the tip on the Crank PW

Ralph, I had the wrong picture-- yours is correct. The specs that I listed were correct for the '945's however, that came from the Ford specs adjusted for 12V and 55 psi (3.8 bar). The opening-time setting has the biggest effect at light load (shortest pulse-width) so check that first, if you are not running out of map then whatever you have should be good.

Cheers,
