I am planning on selling my supercharged 87 5 speed once I get it closer to being ready. Denver area. It's not a very nice car but would be a good street/track beast for an owner OK with a few battle scars.

Here is one in PA: http://allentown.craigslist.org/cto/5175745897.html

Claims to have been owned by 928 Motorsports owner. The Reconstructed title kills it for me.

So thats where it went! Yes, I owned that car for a little while. I think about 2004. We patterned our L-Jet kit on it, it ran very well.

You can see more pictures of that car here: http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/78-84_stage2.php

If the car is in otherwise good shape, this could be a real good deal.

Basically the car is FREE.....you just have to pay for the supercharger !!! and it is installed.

Hahah, Carl, I was going to drop you a line on that car to get your feedback.

The ad says that the SC blew during ownership change and you guys rebuilt it. The seller also claims that is why it has a Reconstructed title. I can';t imagine that being true though. Living in PA, Reconstructed titles are normally not for that reason.

I don't even know what a reconstructed title is.... we don't have that in WI. We have "salvage title". Is that the same thing?

My records line up with his claim that we have rebuilt the supercharger head unit once since it left here. That's about par... once every 5 years or so depending on mileage of course.

The power output looks great.

You stated that you had the car in 2004, depending on when it was rebuilt by yourself, it may be due for another rebuild. Which rebuild kit goes with this car?

Yes, "Rebuilt" is similar to salvage, but one step above.

You can rebuild that supercharger yourself if you like, and this would be the rebuild kit.
http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/...rebuildkit.php

Or you can send the supercharger to us to be rebuilt, and this is the page for that.
http://www.928motorsports.com/servic...ce_rebuild.php

Do not assume it needs to be rebuilt right now. It may not.

Other Powerdyne products, including a performance impeller, here:

I've been thinking about selling my 85 Euro 5-speed that has a twin-screw supercharger. Here's a few pics. I've removed the splitter and installed that on the race car.

I don't know how PA titles work, but here in WI, the car is totalled out and the title branded "salvage" if the insurance company decides that the cost of repair is more than the car is worth (actually a certain percentage of the value). The ad says the S/C & trans were destroyed. I can see the cost of fixing that exceeding the value of the car.

And I wouldn't reject the car just because of that. It's going to affect the value, but then again, so is the S/C. For someone looking for a boosted car, this one might be worth a PPI.
