Default WTB 1989 or 1990 Manual S4 US Version Instrument Cluster

Dead or alive I'm interested- as long as the display is in good condition. I am hoping to find something to replace the KM with MPH on my '89 euro 5 speed. If anyone knows of aftermarket parts that can do the trick I am also interested! Thanks!

Doesn't pulling the left bottom lever toward you on the turn signal stalk twice quickly switch the display from KM to mph?

It does on my '89.

That pulling the lever trick only works on North America delivered cars. Rest of the world doesn't get that, so we have to find a matching 5-spd cluster in the opposite units to change between miles and kph.

Wow! You mean we got something good on these cars that the rest of the world didn't get? That's amazing!

To the OP, there is one on EBay right now from Los Angeles Auto Parts for an '89 but it's an AT version.

928Intl got in a crashed '90 GT recently, though the redline, airbag light, fuel and temp gauge markings, and PSD light would be 'wrong'. He may have an '89S4 gauge cluster- I bought one from him a few years ago.

89 cluster has the airbag and psd light patterns in it too, there are just no bulbs in those places

Just like earlier transmissions have the casting surface for the PSD slave cylinder- Erkka has seen the boss on a trans from a late '87 car..

The number of permutations of digidash clusters makes my head swim- probably worthy of a thread of its own, if there isn't one already...

I did see that one, thanks. The automatic has the gears on the cluster which wouldn't be what I need exactly.

I will have to follow up with the 928 Intl guys and see what they have available. I'm just now starting my parts searches for the car. It's always good to start hoarding parts many months before you actually start the work...

I may or may not have stopped at 928Intl this morning, when what to my wondering eyes should appear, but an '89 5-speed gauge cluster (but no tiny reindeer...)

I'm disappointed about the reindeer but pleased to see the cluster. I shall give them a call... Thanks for the post!
