Matt, so the auction has ended. It means you pulled the plug, right?

You have one of the most intersting looking 928s out there. Skyblue would also be my personal pick for a 928.

Only somebody who can really appreciate that car deserves it. So, keep it! :-)

Rob, you do excellent restoration work. This is a real compliment, thanks.

I have thought about making the entire hatch in fiberglass. But most likely a big effort with little return interest. If I make a mold of just the ducktail you're welcome to use it.

Thanks Red flash, yes I pulled the plug early on.

I'm excited to finish this car when i get the time. Lots of cool details still on the drawing board, that alone bugged me greatly about selling.

I want a later gear box in this car for starters. I also want to buy hypercoils for up front and get the car at least an inch lower. I also want to do lexan door glass that adjusts by leather strap [elegantly though], better graphics that are already designed [Singer-like] , different wheels [orange 17" OZs], etc. The fun easy stuff.

Now that I've decided to keep the car, it's like it's new to me again in a sense.

I woke up very early thinking i should use it today to run my errands.

Matt - I echo what bob said. Glad you are staying in the tank, and we did miss you and your son this year at Frenzy. Looking forward to seeing the next iterations of the car at a future event.

Glad to hear the potential buyers turned you off buddy!
You just put too much of yourself into that car to let it go.

Matt,

I hadn't seen this thread until today. I too had wondered why you weren't at Frenzy, and missed seeing you AND the car. Glad to see it's going to 'stay in the family', and 'stay in our general neighborhood'. Looking forward to seeing you and it next year at Frenzy.
